Mr. Sunjay Kapur is the Chairman of Sona Comstar, a global leader in mobility technology, with manufacturing and R&D operations spanning India, the USA, Serbia, Mexico, and China. The company is a key supplier to the fast-growing Electric Vehicle sector and is listed on BSE Ltd. and the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.
With over two decades of industry experience, Sunjay is an influential figure in shaping India’s automotive and manufacturing policies. He leads as Chairman of CII Northern Region, representing seven states and three Union Territories, and is a member of the CII National Council, CII-VLFM Programme Governing Board, CII-Triveni Water Institute Advisory Board, CII Trade Policy Council, CII Task Force on Global Value Chains, and the CII National Sports Council.
Sunjay also serves on the Board of Governors of his alma mater, The Doon School, India, and the Advisory Council of the Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing. He is the Immediate Past President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and now mentors the Young Business Leaders’ Forum at ACMA. Additionally, he is a member of the AIMA Council, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and YPO Gold.
An alumnus of Harvard Business School (OPM), he is the only Indian to have been elected Global Chairman of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (2007-08). Beyond business, he is a passionate polo player and captains his team — Aureus Polo.

Vivek Vikram Singh
Mr. Vivek Vikram Singh is the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology (computer science and engineering) from HBTI, Kanpur and a post graduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has over 18 years of experience, including eight years of experience in the automotive industry. He is inter alia responsible for overseeing the production of auto components and systems platform in electric vehicles and hybrids, capital allocation decisions, external shareholder management at our Company. He was awarded ‘Entrepreneurial CEO of the Year 2021’ by EY India in April, 2022. He was also recognised as one of the India’s 40 under forty hottest business leaders by the Economic Times in 2018. He joined our Company on July 1, 2016. He was appointed as the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer on our Board with effect from July 5, 2019.
Mr. Vivek Vikram Singh is a Director on the Boards of Ionesco Cayman Investment Limited and Ionesco Cayman Limited and also serves as an Independent Director on the board of Varmora Granito Private Limited.
Jeff M. Overly
Mr. Jeffrey M. Overly is an Independent Director of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree of science in industrial management from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree of science in admin from Central Michigan University. He has over 43 years of operating experience. He is on the board of directors of, among others, Performance Food Group, Sabre Industries, a BX portfolio company, Schenck Process Holding GmbH and Packer Sanitation Services Incorporated. Prior to joining our Company, he worked with The Blackstone Group for 10 years where he was an Operating Partner in their Private Equity group. He was appointed as an Independent Director on our Board with effect from February 12, 2021.
Mr. Overly is also an Independent Director on the boards on Performance Food Group, Packer Sanitation Services Incorporated, Comstar Automotive USA LLC and a Director on the Board of Sabre Industries, Inc.
Shradha Suri
Shradha Suri Marwah is the Chairperson & Managing Director of Subros Ltd. Established in 1985, Subros Ltd is a joint venture between the Indian Promoters, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and DENSO Corporation, Japan. The Company is recognized as a market leader in Thermal products and technologies and is in technical collaboration with DENSO Corporation Japan.
Shradha is also the elected President (2023-25) of Automotive Components Manufacturers Association (ACMA). She is also the Chairperson of Pillar 2 (Government Affairs & Strategic Affairs) and Pillar 5 (Media, Image building and PR Comm) at the association.
She is part of the National Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the term 2023-24 and holds various other key positions within the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Shradha has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. She also went on to earn two post-graduate degrees, a master’s in management and a Masters in Economics & Information Systems from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University of London. She has over 23 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Shradha is the Chairperson and Managing Director of Subros Limited. She also serves as an Independent Director on the boards of Asahi India Glass Limited and Uniparts India Limited, and holds the position of Director on the boards of Globalydk Electric Private Limited, Prima Infratech Private Limited, Rohan Motors Ltd., Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, and R R Holdings Private Limited.
Manisha Girotra
Manisha Girotra is Chief Executive Officer of Moelis in India. She was previously Chairperson and Country Head for UBS in India. With a career spanning 30 years with UBS in London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Delhi and with Moelis, she has bootstrapped both these organisations in India, setting up the teams, obtaining necessary regulatory licenses, building the brand, the corporate governance and the business model. She was the youngest CEO of a global investment bank in India at the age of 32. Manisha has advised over US$ 500 Bn of mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt fundraisings through her career. Some of the landmark transactions include Vodafone US$ 12 Bn acquisition of Hutch’s telecom business, Bharti Airtel’s US$ 10 Bn acquisition of Zain Africa, US$ 65 Bn merger of HDFC-HDFC Bank, Birla Group’s US$ 6 Bn acquisition of Novelis.
Manisha is on the Global Board of Naspers and Prosus, a US$ 200 Bn market cap technology investor, Ashok Leyland and Mindspace Business Parks REIT. In addition, Manisha is a mentor for working women and aspiring working women at ‘Aspire For Her’ a start up wanting to put 1mm women into the workforce by 2025.
Manisha represents the banking industry’s viewpoint on several panels of SEBI, CII, FICCI and other industry associations. Her contributions have been widely recognised through industry accolades by being named as one of the ‘50 Women to Watch’ by The Wall Street Journal and being nominated in the ‘Top 50 Women in Business’ by Forbes & Fortune and being named ‘Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business in India’ by Business Today.
Manisha graduated in Economics from St Stephen's College, Delhi and was awarded the Dr. Manmohan Singh Gold Medal for academic excellence for her Master’s Degree from the Delhi School of Economics.
Manisha is also the Managing Director of Moelis & Company India Private Limited and serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Naspers Limited and Prosus N.V. and as a Director on the Boards of Ashok Leyland Limited and K Raheja Corp Investment Managers Private Limited.
Pradip M Kanakia
Mr. Pradip M Kanakia is a strong leader and Finance and governance-oriented professional with expertise in accounting, auditing, reporting, strategy, transformation, performance management, systems and processes and controls, compliance, and governance. As a qualified Chartered Accountant of both England & Wales and India, he has held leadership positions with Price Waterhouse and KPMG during a career spanning 35 years.
As a Lead Engagement Partner, he led the audits of several prestigious Indian and multinational companies, across various industry sectors, reporting under Ind-AS, IFRS and US GAAP for over 22 years. As a national leader in both PwC and KPMG, he played a major role in transforming the businesses of both the firms leading to accelerated growth and profitability by demonstrating the ability to ‘turn around’ underperforming business units with strong strategic and execution skills.
Mr Kanakia also led a popular Non-Executive Directors (NED) Program with Price Waterhouse for a period of 10 years that attracted large participation by Independent Directors, CFOs, Chief Internal Auditors and Chief Compliance Officers in Mumbai and NCR regions.
Mr. Kanakia led several thousand people in both the firms and cultivated a culture of high performance, collaboration, and teamwork by encouraging a questioning mind set and belief in finding solutions to problems and actively engaging with all stakeholders.
Mr. Kanakia is also an Independent Director on the Boards of JM Financial Limited, Symed Labs Limited, Healthcare Global Enterprises Limited, Camlin Fine Sciences Limited, Britannia Industries Limited, Viyash Life Sciences Private Limited and ICRA Limited and a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Torrent Gas Limited. He also serves as a Non-Executive Chairman on the Board of ICRA Analytics Limited.
Karam Daulet-Singh
As the Managing Partner of Touchstone Partners, Karam is responsible for the firm's overall business strategy, client experience and culture. A dual-qualified lawyer, qualified to practice both in England and India, Karam first worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London in the late 1990s, after graduating from the University of Cambridge, UK, with a first class. On returning to India, he worked with an established Indian law firm, before setting up his individual practice in 2002, which has now evolved into the firm as currently constituted.
Karam extensively advises several financial institutions and multinational corporations in connection with their India strategies and has worked on some of the largest cross-border transactions in the Indian market in the last 20 years. Karam’s clients include a leading GCC sovereign wealth fund, bp, Tencent, Wellington and the world’s leading media and communications group.
Mr. Karam Daulet Singh is also a Director on the Boards of K&G Baby Care Private Limited, Houlihan Lokey (India) Private Limited, Daulet-Singh and Associates Services Private Limited, Eads Aircraft Services India Private Limited, K & N Arts Private Limited and Agro Tech Foods Limited and a Designated Partner at Platinum Partners LLP.
Vikram Verma Vadapalli
Mr. Vikram Verma Vadapalli is the Whole Time Director and CEO of Driveline Business of the Company. Mr. Vikram Verma Vadapalli completed his bachelor’s degree in technology in mechanical engineering in 1981 from the Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal (now renamed as National Institute of Technology, Surathkal), and brings with him more than 40 years of rich experience in organizational strategy, new product development, business development, strategic procurement, operations, and people development in the automotive industry.
Mr. Verma has been associated with Sona Group for more than 35 years. He joined Sona BLW in 2007 as Chief Engineer (Projects), and prior to this, he was leading the plant operations at Sona Koyo Steering Systems. Later, in 2011, he was appointed Executive Director and CEO of the Company. In 2019, after the acquisition of Comstar, the erstwhile Sona BLW business was named ‘Driveline Business’, and he was appointed CEO of Driveline Business. He has completed the age of 64 years on June 14, 2024.
He has played an instrumental role in growing the Driveline Business of the Company in both domestic and international markets. He played a pivotal role in enhancing the company's technological capabilities in precision forming and expanding them to precision machining. He also expanded the single-product focused Driveline Business to now more than 10 products in its portfolio. With these efforts, he led the Driveline Business to grow its revenue in FY 2023-24 to nearly 3 times from FY 2018-19 and 9 times from FY 2010-11. To support this growth, he strategically expanded the Business’ operations from two plants to seven plants across India and Mexico. He also supplemented the Company’s electrification strategy tremendously by developing many EV-focused products, solving the EV customers’ specific requirements, and secured significant program wins from them. These programs contribute to over 40% of the Driveline Business revenue and over 75% of the Company’s EV revenue.
He is presently on the Board member of Sona Comstar eDrive Private Limited and Sona BLW eDrive Mexicana S.A.P.I.DE.C.V..
Vineet Mittal
Mr. Vineet Mittal is Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Vineet Mittal, an accomplished alumnus of Harvard Business School, is a visionary serial entrepreneur and the Founder of Avaada Group. Renowned for his transformative contributions to renewable energy and IT services, Mr. Mittal is a trailblazer in sustainability, driven by a deep-rooted belief in nurturing the Earth, inspired by India’s Vedic wisdom and cultural heritage.
Mr. Mittal’s entrepreneurial journey began with a successful exit from his BPO venture, which he sold to a SPAC in the USA. In 2009, he founded Avaada Ventures to address India’s critical energy access challenges. His vision is clear: a developed India where energy access and quality education uplift every citizen. Under his leadership, India’s first large-scale solar project was commissioned, setting the stage for an energy revolution. In 2022, Avaada achieved global recognition by constructing the world’s largest solar project at a single location, a 1.25 GWp facility in Rajasthan.
