AAR-H type couplers with balance draft gear (BDG) for passenger coaches
Sona Comstar AAR-H type coupler has been developed in-house for passenger coach application. It is a high tensile tight lock centre buffer coupler.

- • Specially designed silent block used to connect coupler head to draft gear minimizes jerk.

Sona Comstar make Loco couplers have been designed with single pin clevis which provides couplability with both Center Buffer Couplers and Hook type Couplers. They are designed for a tensile load capacity of up to 400 tons. Hence capable of hauling a rake of 26 coaches.
